RATIONALE OF THE COURSE

Film Studies and Appreciation is a foundational course designed to introduce students in the Department of Multimedia and Creative Technology to the rich history, technical aspects, and critical analysis of filmmaking. This course provides a comprehensive:

The curriculum covers a range of topics, including the history of film, early cinema, film analysis, technical aspects of filmmaking, film genres, and film review. By studying these topics, students will develop a deeper understanding of the art and craft of filmmaking. They will be able to appreciate the historical context of film development, analyze films from a critical perspective, understand the technical aspects of filmmaking, and develop their own filmmaking skills through practical exercises. Overall, the Film Studies and Appreciation course is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in film theory and analysis, preparing them for further studies in multimedia and creative technology.
